A person does not need to be a member to shoot at the practice trap.

Members and friends of Crooks Gun Club — get ready to light up the skies! The 2026 trap and skeet season is almost here. Goodbye to frigid winter mornings, hello to clay-smashing nights and long summer evenings on the line. We’ve got another action-packed year planned, and you won’t want to miss a minute.

What’s coming up

  • Big summer calendar: Five ATA shoots plus the PVA shoot — plenty of chances to compete, improve your scores, and chase personal bests.

  • Annual meeting: Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6:30 PM. We’ll elect officers and board members and map out the season. Want to help steer the club? Start thinking about who should serve — we want maximum member involvement. Dinner will be provided.

  • Trap warm-ups: Kicking off in April, every Wednesday and Thursday evening through league start. Perfect time to tune your lead, dial in your swing, and lock in those patterns.

  • Trap league: Begins mid-April (weather permitting). We’ll run a 20-week match format across an 18-week season — expect competitive lineups and plenty of fun.

  • Skeet nights: Starting in May, every Monday evening through August. Drop in to warm up, register teams, and get ready to hit targets all summer long.

  • Mondays: Two skeet fields open each night (May–August). Come early to secure a station.

  • Tuesdays: One field open. If extra shooters show up, we’ll open the second field for Tuesday as well — just bring more shooters and we’ll light it up.

Bring your friends, bring your teams, and bring your best ammo. The clays are waiting — let’s make 2026 our loudest, fastest, and most competitive season yet!
